Gisa Grace Ninan, Postdoctoral Researcher

My area of expertise includes the fabrication and characterization of various solar cells, carbon dots and quantum dots with a particular focus on the synthesis and characterization of semiconducting thin films. I obtained my Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from Cochin University of Science and Technology in India, where my research concentrated on the optimization of the opto-electronic properties of spray-deposited n-type tin monosulfide thin films for photovoltaic applications. I am currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Christ University in Bangalore. Given my expertise, I am confident in my ability to contribute to any research or project involving solar cells / dots particularly in the areas of fabrication and characterization of semiconducting thin films.

Research Interests :

  • Third and Second Generation Photovoltaic Nanomaterials
  • Thin films, their structural & opto-electronic characterization
  • Novel materials (carbon and quantum dots), opto-electronic devices
  • Alternate energy sources: storage devices and applications
